The joined webinar “The impact of ESG in Fixed Income portfolios‘ performance” will be performed 13th of October 2020 on the online platform of LuxFLAG Sustainable Investment Week 2020.
Widespread in equity management, ESG integration is also helping to mitigate issuer, credit and default risks in fixed income management. ESG can have an adverse impact on an issuer’s operations, business environment, competitive advantages and reputation, ultimately weighing on financing costs. Moreover, ESG factors have proven useful in the solvability analysis of sovereign debt. Social and environmental factors are increasingly being taken into account on top of governance, the key focus in the past.
In this presentation, we will be seeking to quantify the impacts of ESG factors on the quality and performance of corporate and government bond portfolios across developed, emerging and frontier markets and to determine whether issuers with better ESG scores can enhance portfolio returns.
